On the Topic of Spiritual Names

Spiritual Names.

That’s a hot topic with a lot of pagans. Whether you call them pagan names, craft names, coven names or what have you, I mean the same thing. I’m going to preface this by saying I do have a name I use in spiritual practice, but only in spiritual practice. I used to use it more openly in pagan circles and on websites and things… but that’s changed. Because given how I got my name, I’ve chosen to make that between me and deity and very little more.

What this is… What this isn’t

This is going to be my spiritual blog. I have a crafting blog on blogspot, which I’ll link to eventually. I’m on Ravelry, Facebook, Twitter, Dreamwidth and Livejournal… though for different reasons. This is my spiritual journey. Which, will never end. I think we only stop learning when we die. I don’t want to die before my time, so this blog… this work in progress will be where I express my spiritual side.

I may rant from time to time. Maybe more often than not, as I tend to find myself up-in-arms about fellow pagans and the lack of common sense or decency that seems to have spread through the community like wildfire. I say this as someone who runs a pagan organization. I say this as someone who has been a spiritual leader in her community. I say this as someone who has seen the dirty underbelly of the pagan community as a coordinator at a large US pagan festival.

You’ll notice along the top that I have a reading list. Some of that is old knowledge in new books I’ve discovered. I have an about me, feel free to ask questions there. I may add links as time goes on, or other pages.

Some real life might leak through from time to time, that’s to be expected in any blog. But I encourage discourse if it is done with a level head and welcome all feedback anyone may have.
